Introducing Stream Studio

Bring your live auction, presentation and streaming controls together in one simple, connected workflow.

At Auctions Live, innovation has always been focused on helping auctioneers, agencies and event teams deliver more professional, engaging and efficient auction experiences.

As part of that continued commitment, we are excited to introduce Stream Studio, a live streaming solution designed specifically for Auctions Live clients.

Stream Studio gives auction teams the ability to livestream their auction room alongside their Auctions Live presentation directly from the browser, while providing greater control over the way their auction is presented to online audiences.

A Smarter Way to Stream Auctions

For many agencies already using Auctions Live, live auction streaming has traditionally involved a combination of cameras, mobile devices and external broadcasting software such as OBS Studio.

While these tools have provided a way to broadcast auctions online, managing the live stream in an entirely separate ecosystem can add additional complexity to the event setup.

Stream Studio has been purpose built to simplify that process by bringing live streaming into the browser, while keeping the controls in the hands of the auction team.

Rather than relying on a separate broadcasting application, Stream Studio works alongside the auction presentation, bringing the presentation and streaming workflow together.

This allows auction teams to manage their camera, microphone, presentation audio and stream layout from one place, while controlling what online audiences see and hear during the auction.

The result is a simpler and more flexible way to manage live auction streaming, while still providing the control needed to deliver a professional live auction experience.

Built for Modern Auction Workflows

Stream Studio has been designed around the needs of modern multi lot, in room auctions.

Rather than managing the live stream separately from the auction presentation, Stream Studio works alongside the presentation workflow, allowing the stream to reflect the auction as it progresses.

Auction teams can move between presentation and camera views, manage audio and control how content is presented to online viewers.

The platform provides controls for:

  • Camera selection and positioning
  • Microphone selection and audio levels
  • Presentation audio
  • Stream layouts
  • Scenes
  • Live stream preview
  • Stream statistics
  • Starting, pausing and resuming the live stream

Stream Studio has been designed to work within the existing Auctions Live workflow, allowing auction teams to manage the live auction presentation and streaming experience together.

Designed for Auction Teams

Stream Studio has been developed to support auction teams managing live, multi lot, in room auctions.

The recommended workflow allows Stream Studio to be launched directly from the relevant auction presentation, bringing the presentation and streaming experience together.

This allows auction teams to focus on running the auction while Stream Studio provides the tools needed to manage what online audiences see and hear.

Stream Studio is particularly suited to workflows where teams need to:

  • Broadcast an in room auction to online audiences
  • Combine live camera footage with the auction presentation
  • Manage microphones and presentation audio
  • Change the content shown to online viewers during the auction
  • Monitor the live stream while the auction is in progress

Why Stream Studio Is Labelled as BETA

Although Stream Studio is available in production and is actively being used by clients today, it is currently still labelled as BETA.

This is intentional.

Stream Studio is continuing to evolve, with new features, workflow improvements and usability enhancements being introduced as the platform develops.

The Auctions Live team is focused on refining the streaming experience, expanding functionality and improving the workflow based directly on real world client feedback.

Because the product is still evolving, some features and workflows may continue to change as improvements are introduced.

The current focus remains on:

  • Rapid feature development
  • Client feedback integration
  • Usability refinement
  • Workflow optimisation
  • Expanding streaming and presentation functionality

Part of the Auctions Live Ecosystem

Stream Studio has been built as part of the wider Auctions Live ecosystem, working alongside the tools already used to manage and present live auctions.

The recommended workflow allows Stream Studio to be launched directly from the relevant auction presentation, bringing the presentation and streaming experience together.

This means auction teams can manage the auction presentation and live stream as part of the same connected workflow, rather than relying on a separate broadcasting environment.

By bringing these capabilities together, Stream Studio provides auction teams with a more connected way to manage the live auction experience for both in room and online audiences.

The Future of Live Auction Streaming

The introduction of Stream Studio represents another step forward in Auctions Live’s continued investment in modern AuctionTech solutions.

As live streaming continues to play an important role in the auction experience, the need for simpler, more connected and flexible streaming tools continues to grow.

Stream Studio has been built to meet those changing expectations, giving agencies and auction houses a more integrated way to manage their live auction broadcasts.

This is only the beginning.

As Stream Studio continues to evolve, the Auctions Live team will continue to refine the experience and expand its capabilities, helping auction teams deliver more engaging, consistent and professionally managed live auction experiences into the future.
