Approving a Phone Bidder

What to do while an agency representative is being confirmed

When Phone Bidding via an Agency Representative is enabled for an auction listing, a phone bidder cannot be approved until an Agency Representative has been selected.

Steps to Prepare a Phone Bidder for Approval

If the agency representative has not yet been confirmed, complete the bidder registration and vetting process using the following steps.

Step 1: Register the phone bidder as usual.

Step 2: Complete the required bidder vetting process.

Step 3: Use the Notes field to record that the buyer has been vetted and is ready for approval.

Step 4: Leave the phone bidder unapproved until the agency representative has been confirmed.

Step 5: Once confirmed, select the appropriate Agency Representative for the phone bidder.

Step 6: Approve the phone bidder registration.

This process allows your team to complete the registration and vetting requirements while waiting for an agency representative to be confirmed.

Important Notes

A phone bidder cannot be approved without an Agency Representative being selected.

Once the registration has been approved, the assigned representative can access the phone bidder through the Mobile Console and place bids on behalf of the buyer during the live auction.
