Auctions Live Fee FAQs
Understanding when listing fees apply in Auctions Live
Understanding when a listing becomes billable is one of the most common questions we receive from agencies using Auctions Live.
This guide explains when fees are applied, what happens if a listing is sold prior to auction, how postponed auctions are handled, and why charges may still apply even if an auction does not proceed.
Auctions Live provides services across the full auction campaign lifecycle including pre auction preparation, live auction delivery, bidder engagement, compliance workflows, streaming services, and post auction processing.
Like real estate portals that charge once a property is published online, Auctions Live applies fees when a subscriber assigns an auction type to a listing. Properties are imported into the platform in an unassigned state, and charges are only incurred once an auction type is allocated to the listing by the subscriber. Applicable fees are charged in accordance with Schedule 4 of the Subscriber Agreement.
When does a Listing become billable?
A listing becomes billable once an auction type is assigned to the listing within Auctions Live.
This applies regardless of whether the listing ultimately proceeds to auction day.
Does importing a listing from our CRM automatically trigger a fee?
No.
Your office is not charged simply because a listing has been imported from your CRM.
Charges only apply once an auction type has been assigned to that listing.
Does manually creating a listing trigger a fee?
No.
Creating a listing manually inside Auctions Live does not automatically generate a charge.
The listing only becomes chargeable when an auction type is assigned.
If a listing is Sold Prior to auction do we still receive a bill?
Yes.
Once a listing has been assigned an auction type, the campaign becomes billable under our Subscriber Terms and Conditions.
This applies even if the listing is sold prior to the scheduled auction date.
If a listing is withdrawn from auction, do fees still apply?
Yes.
If an auction type has been assigned to the listing, charges will still apply even if the campaign is later withdrawn.
This is because operational services and infrastructure have already been allocated to the campaign.
Are fees only charged if the auction actually takes place?
No.
Fees are not dependent on the auction proceeding live on the scheduled day.
Once the listing has been configured with an auction type, charges apply in accordance with our Subscriber Terms and Conditions.
What happens if an auction is passed in and re-run?
If a listing is passed in and your office decides to run the auction again, a new Raw Duplicate Listing must be created.
Because the duplicated listing requires a new auction assignment, it becomes chargeable under the standard fee structure.
Auction postponement fees explained
Postponed auctions are handled differently depending on the timeframe between the original auction date and the rescheduled date.
Will we still be charged if an auction is postponed?
Yes, charges will still apply.
However, Auctions Live includes postponement rules designed to prevent duplicate billing in eligible circumstances.
If the auction is postponed and rescheduled within 120 days of the original assigned auction date, your office will only be charged for the latest scheduled auction.

What happens if the auction is not re-run within 120 days?
If the postponed listing is not auctioned within the 120 day period, the full auction fee will apply once the postponement period expires.

If a listing was never oublished will fees still apply?
Yes.
If an auction type was assigned to the listing, fees still apply regardless of whether the listing was ever published publicly within Auctions Live.
Can sold listings be added to an In-Room Order Of Sale?
Yes.
If your office adds additional listings into an in room Order of Sale after they have already been sold, standard fees will still apply in accordance with Schedule 4 of the Subscriber Terms.
Duplicate listing fees explained
There are several ways to duplicate a listing within Auctions Live, each with different fee implications.
Duplicated with sold price
This duplication method incurs a fee equal to 25% of the selected auction type fee outlined in Schedule 4 of the Subscriber Terms.
Duplicated with sold price and status
This duplication method also incurs a fee equal to 25% of the selected auction type fee outlined in Schedule 4 of the Subscriber Terms.
Raw duplicate listings
A Raw Duplicate Listing incurs 100% of the selected auction type fee as outlined in Schedule 4 of the Subscriber Terms.
Why Auctions Live applies fees before auction day
Modern auction campaigns involve far more than the live event itself.
From bidder registrations and digital compliance to live streaming preparation, buyer engagement tools, vendor reporting, and auction day workflows, the platform begins delivering value from the moment an auction type is assigned.
Our billing structure is designed to reflect the operational support and infrastructure required to power successful auction campaigns from start to finish.
