Keep Your Bid History Accurate

Follow clear validation rules to maintain an accurate and consistent auction bidding history.

Validation rules help keep manual bid records accurate and in the correct sequence. These rules apply when eligible manual records are added or edited.

Check the Bid Sequence

Step 1: Log in to the PC Console and navigate to your Auctions Live Dashboard.

Step 2: From the menu on the left side, select All Upcoming / All Past.

Step 3: Locate the relevant listing and click the blue View icon on the right-hand side.

Step 4: Within the Listing View page, go to the Quick Stats tab and access the Bid Records.

Step 5: Make sure the manual bid record is positioned in the correct chronological order.

Step 6: Check that the date and time maintain the required sequence. Records may share the same date and time where permitted, provided the required bidding sequence is maintained.

Step 7: Check that each bid amount increases progressively throughout the bidding history.

Step 8: Make sure the bid amount is greater than zero. Negative and zero-value bids cannot be added.

Check Bidder Information

Step 9: Enter a numerical bidder number for manual bid records.

Step 10: Use the designated vendor identifier where a vendor bid is required. Do not use an online bidder number when creating a manual bid record.

The system automatically validates bid amounts whenever an eligible manual record is added or edited.

Helpful Tip

If a manual record cannot be saved, check its position in the bidding sequence, bid amount, date and time, and bidder number before trying again.
