Control Online Bid Increments with Precision

Set, adjust, and automate minimum bid increments to guide bidding behaviour during your auction.

The Minimum Bid Increment Control feature allows you to manage the minimum amount online bidders can increase each bid during an auction. This helps maintain control over bidding flow and ensures increments remain aligned with your auction strategy.

Enable Minimum Bid Increment Control

Step 1: Log in via the PC Console.

Step 2: Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Select the Advanced tab and scroll to System Defaults.

Step 4: Locate and enable Online Bidding Minimum Bid Increment Control.

Step 5: Set your preferred options, then scroll to the top and click the green Update button to save.

Configuration Options

Default Minimum Bid Increment – Set the starting increment applied after the first bid is placed.

Auto-Adjustment of Minimum Bid Increments – Automatically reduce the increment if a lower floor bid is accepted.

Automatic Reset – Reset the increment when the reserve is met or the auction is declared on the market.

The Minimum Bid Increment Control is available within the scribing panel or Auctioneer Controller under the Online Bidding section.

It appears as a blue box displaying the current minimum bid. Selecting this will open a module where you can adjust the increment in real time. Online bidders will only be able to place bids equal to or greater than the set increment.

Helpful Tip

Use auto-adjustment carefully. While it helps match floor bidding behaviour, it can reduce control if smaller increments are accepted too frequently.
