Set up OBS Studio for Auction Live Stream via Dolby
This guide explains how to configure OBS Studio to stream your auction using Auctions Live + OBS. Use this setup if you are choosing to stream via OBS instead of the Broadcaster App.
Set up OBS for Auctions Live streaming
Step 1: Once you’ve created your livestream event in Auctions Live, open OBS Studio and navigate to Settings.
Step 2: Select the Stream tab.
Step 3: Under the service configuration, set the server type to WHIP.
Step 4: In Auctions Live, go to the View Page of your auction property, or the multi-lots auction view page.
Step 5: Locate the livestream options, including Live Stream via Broadcaster App and Live Stream via OBS.
Step 6: Click View Details under the OBS option to reveal your Server URL and Bearer Token.
Step 7: Enter the Server URL provided in Auctions Live into OBS Studio.
Step 8: Enter the Bearer Token as your stream key.
Important
This process must be completed for every unique livestream event. Each auction will generate its own Server URL and Bearer Token, and previous stream credentials cannot be reused.
Helpful Tip
To ensure compatibility and optimal performance, it is recommended to use OBS Studio version 32.1.0 or later. Using the latest version helps support WHIP streaming and reduces the risk of connection or stability issues during your auction broadcast.
