Essential Hardware for Multi-Lot Auctions
What you need to run a seamless multi-lot auction with Auctions Live
To set up and run a multi-lot auction using Auctions Live, the following hardware is required or recommended, depending on the stage of the auction process.
Pre-Auction - Scheduling and Publishing
PC or Notebook - Used to create and publish the multi-lot auction via the PC Console.
Auction Day - Stream, Scribe and Multimedia Presentation
Required Hardware on Auction Day:
PC / Notebook - To control, navigate through the multimedia presentation, and record bids. Internet access is required.
TV / Monitor / Projector - To display the multimedia presentation.
HDMI, VGA, or DVI Cable - To connect your PC or notebook to the TV or projector screen.
Smartphone (with Mobile Console App and Broadcaster App) - Required for live streaming the auction to your company’s website. Internet access is required.
Tripod with Smartphone Holder - Keeps the smartphone steady and in place during the live stream.
Optional hardware:
Tablet - Can be used as a secondary monitor for the videographer or scribe, or by the auctioneer to accept or reject online bids.
Secondary TV / Monitor - For displaying the order of sale screen.
Additional Smartphones and Tablets - Can be used as extra resources for electronically registering bidders.
Internet Connection Requirements
A fast and stable internet connection is essential to operate the multimedia presentation and ensure uninterrupted live streaming. It is recommended to test your internet speed and stability prior to the auction to avoid delays or interruptions during the event.
