Introduction
How to enable and use YouTube Live
Auctions Live gives you the ability to connect your YouTube account and stream auctions directly through YouTube Live. This means you can take advantage of YouTube's world-class streaming platform, provide a seamless viewing experience for buyers and vendors, and automatically have your live stream recordings stored on YouTube for future use.
Before integrating your YouTube account with Auctions Live, ensure that it is enabled for full live streaming and embedding functionality.
RE Software complies with both YouTube's API Data Usage Policy and API Data Refresh, Storage and Display Policy. Further information is outlined below.
Authorized YouTube API Data Usage Policy
RE Software strictly follows YouTube's Authorized Data Usage Policy by emphasising honesty and transparency regarding user data. We are committed to safeguarding user data and using it responsibly for the intended purposes.
RE Software allows users to securely connect their YouTube accounts and gain access to specific functionalities, such as creating, deleting, and updating live streams. During the OAuth process, we clearly inform users about the types of data we collect, store, and use. This includes the necessary permissions and access levels required to provide the specified functionalities.
RE Software follows YouTube's guidelines for data retention and deletion. User data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfil the intended purpose of the service. Once users disconnect their account or revoke access, their data is promptly deleted from our system.
The authorised YouTube data is only accessible to the authorising user or the users expressly approved by that user.
We provide clear information about the specific YouTube account that will be linked and authorised to perform actions. Users can easily review and confirm the association before granting any authorisation.
RE Software clearly indicates any changes to content visibility settings made by the authorised user and refrains from modifying existing settings without explicit instruction from the authorising user. After successfully linking their YouTube account, the authorising users are granted the ability to choose their desired live stream privacy setting (Private, Public, Unlisted).
Authorised YouTube API Data Refresh, Storage and Display Policy
RE Software strictly adheres to the requirements of YouTube's Authorized API Data Refresh, Storage and Display Policy.
RE Software stores user YouTube authentication tokens in a secured and encrypted database for as long as needed, ensuring they are utilised solely for purposes aligned with the explicit consent granted by the authorising users.
RE Software stores user-authorised YouTube data only as long as necessary, with the consent of the authorising user. Auctions Live ensures that the stored user data remains accessible to the authorised user, even after 30 days. Authorisation to the stored data is not revoked, as the YouTube data is refreshed every 30 days.
RE Software ensures that the stored YouTube data remains in sync with the latest information available through YouTube API Services, and users are presented with the latest data through the Auctions Live interface.
RE Software provides functionalities that allow authorised users to permanently delete YouTube data related to their account.
