Creating a Custom Offer Template
Set up consistent buyer campaigns with tailored offer forms
Offer Templates help you set up consistent, repeatable campaigns where buyers can submit offers. By creating a template, you can control the timing, rules, and questions asked during the offer process.
Steps to Create a New Offer Template
Step 1: Log into the PC Console and navigate to your Offers Live Dashboard.
Step 2: Click Settings in the top menu bar.
Step 3: Select Templates from the side menu under the heading Offers Live Settings.
Step 4: Click the green New Campaign Template button on the right to start creating a new template.
Steps to Set Up the Basics
Step 1: Enter a name for your offer template (e.g. Spring Campaign Offer). This helps you identify it later.
Step 2: The Template ID will be auto-filled, but you can edit it if required.
Step 3: Enter a Button Name that buyers will see (e.g. Make an Offer).
Steps to Configure Offer Options
These settings determine how your offer process will function.
Step 1: Choose a Minimum Offer Price Type.
Step 2: Select an Offer Opening Date Type.
Step 3: Specify an Offer Closing Date Type.
Step 4: Choose an Offer Visibility Type.
Step 5: Set an Offer Obligation Type.
Step 6: Choose an Offer Notification Type.
Step 7: Decide whether to Display Offer Leaderboard.
Steps to Add Conduct Guidelines
Step 1: Under Offer Conduct Guidelines, outline any rules or expectations for buyers submitting offers. This may include conduct, communication, or behaviour specific to the campaign.
Steps to Manage Default Offer Questions
Step 1: Scroll down to Default Offer Questions Settings.
Every offer template includes a standard set of default questions. You can choose which of these are shown or hidden from buyers during the offer process.
Step 2: Click on each question (e.g. Question 2).
Step 3: Review the question content.
Step 4: Select Show to include it in the offer form, or
Step 5: Select Hide to exclude it.
Step 6: Repeat this for all default questions (up to Question 21).
Steps to Add Custom Questions (Optional)
Step 1: Scroll to Additional Offer Questions.
You can create custom questions to gather specific information from buyers. These will appear on the offer form alongside the default questions.
Step 2: Enter a Title for the custom question section (e.g. Additional Information).
Step 3: Click Add Question.
Step 4: Type your custom question (e.g. Are you subject to finance?).
Step 5: Choose an Answer Type from the dropdown (e.g. text, yes/no, multiple choice).
Step 6: Choose whether the question is Required:
- Click Yes if buyers must answer it
- Click No if it's optional
Step 7: Click Add Question to include more (up to 12), or Delete Question to remove.
Final Step: Save Your Template
Step 1: Once you’re satisfied with all settings and questions, click the green Create button to save your template.
Your Offer Template is now set up and ready for use in your campaigns.
