New Features
Selling Agent Role Permission Changes
The following permission changes are now available to the Selling Agent role as part of our fine-grained access control enhancements:
Fine-Grained Permissions
- Manually Add Bidders: By deactivating this permission, Selling Agents will no longer be able to manually add new bidders to an auction. ✅
- Manage Bidder Details: By deactivating this permission, Selling Agents will no longer be able to edit, approve, or manage the details of bidders, including those who have pre-registered. ✅
- Scribe Auction & Manage Online Bids: By deactivating this permission, Selling Agents will no longer be able to access the Auctioneer Controller or perform scribe functions during an auction. ✅
These changes have been introduced to improve role-based access consistency, enhance data integrity, and provide clearer separation of responsibilities within the auction workflow.

Timed Auction Enhancements – Visual, Audio & Notification Updates
- New Countdown Timer: A 3-minute countdown now appears on the Timed Auction bidding board as the auction nears its end. Includes a ticking sound that intensifies in the final moments to build urgency. ✅
- Call Signs: Audio prompts for “Going Once”, “Going Twice”, and “Third & Final” are now synced with on-screen updates. ✅
- Auction Close: A congratulatory voice message plays automatically at the end of a successful auction. ✅
- Animated Celebrations
- Gavel Animation: Displays automatically when the auction ends, matching the experience used for online bidders in BidBuy app. ✅
- Visual Effects: New celebratory animations which includes clapping and confetti triggering at the conclusion of bidding. ✅
- Bidder Presence Visibility
- Logged-in agency users can now see the number of bidders currently online during a Timed Auction, providing greater visibility into live engagement. ✅
Daily Email Update
A daily email will now be sent at 6:00 AM AEST to all assigned agent contacts (per system settings). Emails are not sent for auctions in a non-bidding status. ✅
Other Updates
Terminology Update "Property" → "Lot": There are many references to the word Property/Properties in the system. Over the next 6 months, some of these will be renamed to the word Lot/Lots. These changes will not affect any functionality or public-facing interfaces. 🚧
Date Format Standardisation Update: We are updating the platform's date format to enhance clarity and consistency. Over the next six months, all date displays will transition from the previous DD/MM/YYYY format (e.g. 15/01/2025) to the new DD Mon YYYY format (e.g. 15 Jan 2025) to accommodate global variations and reduce ambiguity. This change will be applied automatically, requiring no user action. For further assistance, please contact our support team. 🚧
