Introducing Identity Verification & PEP Screening
We're pleased to introduce Identity Verification, a powerful new capability designed to simplify regulatory compliance.
Through our integration with VerifiMe, RE Software now provides Australian organisations a secure, reusable digital identity verification service that helps ensure every registered bidder and buyer has been accurately verified before participating in auctions.
A Comprehensive Verification Process
Identity Verification combines three essential security and compliance checks into a single streamlined workflow.
- ● Government ID Verification: Users verify a valid government-issued identity document using trusted document authentication technology.
- ● Biometric Verification: Advanced facial recognition and liveness detection confirms that the individual completing the verification is physically present and matches the submitted identity document.
- ● PEP & Compliance Screening: Each verification includes Politically Exposed Person (PEP) screening to assist agencies in meeting compliance obligations and further strengthen buyer integrity.
How It Works
The verification process has been designed to be secure, intuitive and easy to complete.
- ● A bidder or buyer registers on an RE Software platform.
- ● The user securely pays the Identity Verification fee through the integrated Stripe payment gateway.
- ● Once payment has been successfully processed, an email containing a secure verification link is automatically sent to the user.
- ● The user completes their government ID verification, biometric verification and compliance screening through VerifiMe.
- ● Upon successful completion, the user is awarded a Verified Badge on their account.
Verified Badge & 90-Day Validity
Users who successfully complete Identity Verification receive a Verified Badge which remains valid for up to 90 days.
During this validity period, verified users can register across participating RE Software platforms without needing to complete additional identity verification each time. This reusable verification significantly reduces duplicate verification requests, accelerates future registrations and provides a smoother user experience while maintaining strong security standards.
