Release Notes: A.12.9.b
Planned Deployment Date: 12 September 2025
To improve clarity and deliver a consistent experience for all subscribers, we are standardising terminology across both the PC Console and Mobile Console apps. These changes are designed to remove ambiguity, streamline workflows, and ensure that the same terms are used consistently across different areas of the platform. By aligning the language with how subscribers interact with Auctions Live in day-to-day operations, we aim to make navigation more intuitive and provide a smoother experience.

Delegated Scribing Permissions
We are introducing a new capability to strengthen auction scribing management across multi-entity organisations. Corporates and Auction Houses will now be able to delegate scribing permissions to their associated entities, enabling wider collaboration while ensuring control, security, and compliance.
Details of the Enhancement
Permission Delegation
- Corporates and Auction Houses will be able to assign auction scribing rights to:
- Direct Linked Offices
- Child Corporates and Auction Houses
Assignment Rules
- Only users with the Office Admin role will be authorised to assign and grant scribing permissions.
- Corporate and Auction House Office Admins can access the scribing functionality directly from the Create and Edit pages of multi-lot auctions.
- Office Admins with switch account access may also be able to manage delegation on behalf of other offices.
- Permissions will only be granted to Office Admins associated with auction lots in a multi-lot auction.
- Eligible Office Admins will appear in a dropdown menu on the Auction Create and Auction Edit pages for selection.
Role-Based Access to Scribing
- Once an office is granted access, the following roles within that office can scribe the auction:
- Office Admins
- Office Users
- Scribers
- Selling Agents will require multi-role access to be granted scribing privileges.
Financial and Non-Financial User Access
- This functionality will be available to both financial and non-financial users from Corporates and Auction Houses.
- Non-financial clients of Corporates and Auction Houses, once granted scribing accessibility, will also be able to scribe an auction.
Control Panel Access
- A Control Panel button will be displayed for users with granted access on both:
- All Listings page
- Listing View page
- From this Control Panel, users will be able to initiate and perform auction scribing activities.
- For these users, all other auction action buttons will remain hidden, ensuring a streamlined and secure interface.
Audit Logging
- All granting of scribing access activities are logged for history, records, and security purposes.
- Office Admins can review these details within the Logs section of the relevant multi-lot auction.
Benefits
- Provides role-based governance over scribing responsibilities.
- Enables secure collaboration across directly linked offices, child corporates, and auction houses.
- Maintains a complete audit trail of permission assignments for compliance and monitoring.
- Ensures a simplified user experience with focused Control Panel access.
Impact Assessment
- Existing permissions remain unchanged until explicitly updated by an Office Admin.
- This functionality applies only to multi-lot auctions.
- Selling Agents remain excluded from scribing access.
- Logging ensures traceability for compliance and security audits.
