Selling Agent Associate Feature

We’re excited to announce the launch of our latest feature: for Selling Agent Associates. This powerful addition to Auctions Live enables clients to assign individuals as "associates" to auction lots, granting them the same level of access as listing agents—without displaying their details publicly.

This feature is designed to enhance collaboration and flexibility while maintaining privacy and control. Here’s everything you need to know about enabling and using this new functionality.

What is the Selling Agent Associate Feature?

The Selling Agent Associate feature allows you to assign individuals with the “Selling Agent” user role to specific auction lots. These associates can:

  • Access the listing as if they were the listing agent, including receiving system email notifications if enabled.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the listing team.
  • Maintain privacy, as their details are not publicly displayed.

There is no limit to the number of associates you can add to a listing, ensuring your team has the support it needs.

How to Enable the Selling Agent Associate Feature

To enable this feature, you will need office administrative access. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Auctions Live account via your PC.
  2. Navigate to the Settings icon (cog) in the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Click on the Advanced tab and scroll down to System Defaults.
  4. Locate the setting for Selling Agent Associate Feature and enable it.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Update button.
  6. To enable email notifications, scroll down to the Selling Agent Associate Feature and toggle on the desired email notifications option.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Update button.

Note: If your office operates within a hierarchy with multiple offices, you must enable this setting for each individual office account.

How to Use the Selling Agent Associate Feature

Once activated, this feature can be managed by your office’s system administrator, admin teams, or listing agents via the Mobile Console App.

Here’s how:

  • On the Listing Edit Page, a new field will appear, allowing you to add associates to the listing.
  • Listing agents can also add or remove associates directly from the Mobile Console App, making it easy to manage on the go.
