Enhanced Live Stream Refresh Experience

We have introduced a new live stream refresh option to help viewers quickly reconnect when they experience temporary streaming or connection issues during a live auction.

The refresh option is available across supported YouTube and Dolby video players within the BidBuy app and on public Auctions Live widget pages.

• ● Faster Recovery: Viewers can refresh their live stream experience directly from the video player when playback is interrupted.
• ● Available Across Viewing Experiences: The refresh option is available to registered bidders using the BidBuy app and viewers watching through a public widget.
• ● Simple On-Screen Action: Viewers can access the refresh option without leaving the auction page.

Quickly Refresh the Live Stream

If the live stream is interrupted or a viewer experiences a connection issue, they can select the video player to display the following refresh option:

Selecting the option refreshes the viewing experience and provides the viewer with an opportunity to reconnect to the live auction stream.

Registered Bidders

For registered bidders watching through the BidBuy app, selecting the refresh option will refresh the auction page and automatically reconnect the bidder to the live stream.

This provides a quicker way for bidders to return to the live auction experience without needing to leave the auction and manually navigate back to the stream.

Public Widget Viewers

Viewers watching an auction through a public Auctions Live widget can use the same refresh option if they experience an interruption to the live stream.

Once the page has refreshed, the viewer can select the Play button on the video player to resume watching the live stream.

When the Live Stream Has Ended

The refresh option is designed to assist with temporary playback or connection issues only. It will not restart a live stream that has been ended by the subscriber.
