Auction Management Enhancements - Bid Increment Presets & Vendor Management
We are introducing a new set of enhancements designed to improve flexibility, efficiency and control across the auction management workflow.
This release includes significant enhancements to Bid Increment Presets, providing organisations with greater control over how bidding increments are configured across offices and individual listings. It also introduces a new Vendor Search and Reuse capability, making it faster and easier to add existing vendors to new listings.
Bid Increment Presets Enhancements
The enhanced Bid Increment Presets functionality provides greater control over bidding increments while supporting different configuration requirements for individual offices, Corporates and Auction Houses.
System-Level Bid Increment Configuration
Individual offices can now customise their existing Bid Increment Presets directly from System Settings → General → Bid Increment Presets.
From the Bid Increment Presets dropdown, users can:
- ● Select Presets: Choose from the available Bid Increment Presets configured for the organisation.
- ● Review Increment Structures: View the bid increment structure associated with a selected preset.
- ● Modify Bid Increments: Adjust the available bid increments to suit the office's auction requirements.
- ● Save Configurations: Save the updated preset structure for future use.
When a preset is selected, a configuration modal displays the applicable increments, allowing users to review and update the structure before saving.
Listing-Level Bid Increment Configuration
Bid Increment Presets can also be managed at the individual listing level, providing additional flexibility when different properties require different bidding configurations.
For individual offices, a Bid Increment Preset can be selected when creating or editing a listing. This allows properties within the same Multi-Lot Auction to use different Bid Increment Presets according to their individual requirements.
Any change made to the Bid Increment Preset for a listing applies only to that property and does not affect the configuration of other listings within the same Multi-Lot Auction.
Corporate and Auction House Configuration
For Corporates and Auction Houses, the Bid Increment Presets available at the listing level are determined by the settings configured for the office linked to that property.
When a Corporate or Auction House user edits a property, the available Bid Increment Presets will reflect the presets configured by the relevant linked office.
- ● Office Control: Individual offices manage the Bid Increment Presets available through their own settings.
- ● Linked Office Presets: Corporate and Auction House users can select from the presets made available by the office linked to the property.
- ● Property-Level Flexibility: Different properties can retain the appropriate Bid Increment Presets within the same Multi-Lot Auction.
- ● Independent Configuration: Changes made to one property's Bid Increment Preset do not affect other properties.
This structure provides greater flexibility for Auction Houses and Corporates managing Multi-Lot Auctions containing properties from multiple offices or agencies, while ensuring that each linked office retains control over the bidding configurations available for its properties.
Supported Auction Interfaces
Configured bid increments are reflected across the relevant auction management and bidder-facing interfaces, helping provide a consistent bidding experience throughout the auction process.
- ● Multi-Lot Control: Configured increments are available to auction operators managing Multi-Lot Auctions.
- ● Mobile Console Electronic Scriber: The configured bidding structure is reflected within the Electronic Scriber workflow.
- ● Online Bidder Panel: Online bidders are presented with the applicable bid increment options during the auction.
Preview Bid Panels
A new Preview Bid Panels option is available beneath the Bid Increment Presets dropdown. Selecting this option opens a preview modal so users can review how the configured bid increments will appear within the relevant bidding panels before they are used.
- ● Validate Configuration: Review the configured increments before applying them.
- ● Confirm Presentation: Check that the increment structure is displayed as expected.
- ● Preview the Bidder Experience: Review how the configured increment options will be presented within the applicable bidding panels.
Multi-Level Configuration
The enhanced Bid Increment Presets functionality introduces a flexible configuration structure across:
Office/System Settings → Listing → Auction Interface
This provides offices with centralised control over their available presets while supporting appropriate listing-level configuration for individual properties.
Key Benefits
- ● Greater Flexibility: Configure bid increments to better suit different auction and property requirements.
- ● Centralised Management: Manage available presets through System Settings → General.
- ● Listing-Level Control: Select appropriate configurations for individual properties where required.
- ● Multi-Lot Flexibility: Use different Bid Increment Presets across listings within the same Multi-Lot Auction.
- ● Isolated Listing Changes: Changes to one property remain independent and do not affect other listings.
- ● Structured Corporate Management: Corporates and Auction Houses see the Bid Increment Presets configured by each property's linked office.
- ● Consistent Auction Experience: Configured increments are reflected across supported auction interfaces.
- ● Improved Visibility: Preview Bid Panels make it easier to verify configurations before they are used.
Vendor Search and Reuse
A new Vendor Search and Reuse capability has also been introduced within Vendor Management, making it faster and easier to add existing vendors to new listings.
Users can now search for an existing vendor using their email address and reuse the vendor's existing information rather than manually entering the same details again.
Search for Existing Vendors
The new search capability is available within the Vendor Management section of a listing. The workflow allows users to:
- ● Search by Email: Enter the vendor's email address to locate matching existing vendor records.
- ● Select the Vendor: Choose the appropriate vendor from the available search results.
- ● Review Existing Details: Check the vendor's available information within a confirmation modal.
- ● Confirm and Continue: Select Continue to populate the vendor information into the listing.
Vendor Details Preview
When an existing vendor is selected, a confirmation modal displays the vendor's available details before they are applied to the listing.
This allows users to verify that the correct vendor has been selected before continuing. Once confirmed, the relevant vendor fields are automatically populated using the existing vendor information.
Faster Vendor Management
The new functionality reduces repetitive data entry and streamlines the process of preparing listings where vendor information has already been captured elsewhere in the system.
- ● Faster Vendor Setup: Quickly locate existing vendors using their email address.
- ● Reduced Manual Data Entry: Automatically populate available vendor information into the listing.
- ● Improved Accuracy: Reduce errors associated with repeatedly entering the same vendor details.
- ● Simplified Workflow: Review and confirm vendor information before it is applied.
- ● Increased Efficiency: Reduce the administrative time required to prepare listings.
- ● Faster Auction Preparation: Streamline the overall listing and auction setup process.
Overall Release Benefits
Together, these enhancements provide greater control, consistency and efficiency across the auction management workflow.
The enhanced Bid Increment Presets functionality gives individual offices greater control over their bidding configurations while providing Corporates and Auction Houses with a structured way to manage properties according to the settings of each linked office.
At the same time, Vendor Search and Reuse reduces repetitive administration by allowing existing vendor information to be located, reviewed and reused when preparing new listings.
These improvements are designed to reduce repetitive configuration and data entry, streamline auction preparation and provide users with greater control when managing individual listings and Multi-Lot Auctions.
