Reserve Price Publication

Managing reserve prices is a critical part of every auction. To support changing legislative requirements in certain jurisdictions, Auctions Live now introduces an optional Reserve Price Publication framework that enables organisations to automate the publication of reserve prices while maintaining complete control over their internal processes.

This enhancement introduces configurable publication rules, automated notifications and improved visibility across the Auctions Live platform, ensuring reserve prices can be published consistently and transparently where required.

Automatic Reserve Price Publication

A new organisation setting, Enable Reserve Price Publication (7 Days Prior), provides businesses with complete control over when reserve prices are made available to buyers and bidders.

When enabled, the system will automatically publish the reserve price seven (7) days before the scheduled auction date.

For organisations requiring additional flexibility, the Reserve Price dialog within the Listing Overview now includes three publication options.

  • Always: Publish the reserve price immediately.
  • Auto Disclose (7 Days Prior): Automatically publish the reserve price seven days before the scheduled auction (this is the default if the organisation setting is on).
  • Never: Do not publish the reserve price.

This approach allows organisations to maintain a consistent publication policy while still enabling individual listings to override the default behaviour when required.

Consistent Reserve Price Visibility

Once a reserve price has been published, either immediately or automatically seven days before auction, it will be displayed consistently across the Auctions Live ecosystem.

  • Property Widget Pages
  • Bid Buy App
  • Bidder Registration Forms
  • Mobile Console App Auction Overview

This ensures buyers, bidders and auction staff are all viewing the same reserve price information regardless of which Auctions Live platform they are using.

Automated Notifications & Reminders

This release introduces a comprehensive notification workflow designed to reduce manual administration while ensuring everyone involved remains informed throughout the auction lifecycle.

  • Registered Bidder Notifications: Whenever a published reserve price changes, all registered bidders automatically receive an email advising them of the updated reserve price.
  • Selling Agent Confirmation: Selling agents receive an email as soon as a reserve price has been published, confirming it is now visible to buyers.
  • Reserve Entry Reminder: Eight days before auction, the system automatically checks whether a reserve price has been entered. If one is missing, assigned selling agents receive a reminder email prompting them to complete the reserve before publication.
  • Vendor Reserve Letter: Where Vendor Reserve Settings are enabled and vendor details have been provided, the Reserve Letter will automatically be sent to vendors eight days before auction to assist with reserve approval.

Together, these automated workflows help reduce administrative effort while improving communication between agents, vendors and bidders.

Improved Mobile Console Visibility

The Mobile Console App has also been enhanced to provide greater visibility of reserve price readiness across upcoming and completed auctions.

The Publish Status column within both the All Upcoming and All Past property lists now displays the current Reserve Price publication status.

🔴 Red: Reserve Price has not been entered.

🟡 Yellow: Reserve Price has been entered but has not yet been published.

🟢 Green: Reserve Price has been entered and successfully published.

These visual indicators make it easy for auctioneers and support staff to identify listings requiring attention without opening each individual property.

A More Transparent Auction Workflow

By combining configurable publication rules, automatic reserve publication, proactive reminders, intelligent notifications and improved mobile visibility, this release significantly reduces manual administration while helping organisations meet reserve publication requirements.

The result is a more streamlined workflow for auction teams and a more transparent auction experience for buyers, bidders and vendors across every Auctions Live platform.

Important: It remains the responsibility of the selling agent to ensure the correct reserve price has been entered and maintained within Auctions Live at all times.
