Selling Agent Role Permission Changes

As part of our ongoing fine-grained access control enhancements, additional permission settings are now available for the Selling Agent role. These controls provide organisations with greater flexibility when managing user access and responsibilities throughout the auction lifecycle.

Fine-Grained Permissions

• ● Manually Add Bidders: When this permission is disabled, Selling Agents will no longer be able to manually add new bidders to an auction.
• ● Manage Bidder Details: When disabled, Selling Agents will no longer be able to edit, approve, or manage bidder information, including pre-registered bidder records.
• ● Scribe Auction & Manage Online Bids: When disabled, Selling Agents will no longer be able to access the Auctioneer Controller or perform auction scribing and online bid management functions.

These enhancements improve role-based access consistency, strengthen data governance, and provide clearer separation of responsibilities between auction participants and administrative users.

Timed Auction Enhancements – Visual, Audio & Notification Updates

This release introduces a range of enhancements designed to create a more engaging Timed Auction experience for bidders while providing agencies with greater visibility into live auction activity.

• ● New Countdown Timer: A prominent three-minute countdown timer now appears on the Timed Auction bidding board as the auction approaches its closing time.
• ● Enhanced Audio Experience: The countdown timer is accompanied by a ticking sound that intensifies during the final moments of the auction, helping create urgency and bidder engagement.
• ● Call Sign Audio Prompts: Audio announcements for "Going Once", "Going Twice", and "Third & Final" are now synchronised with on-screen bidding updates, delivering a more immersive auction experience.
• ● Auction Close Announcement: A congratulatory voice message will automatically play upon the successful conclusion of an auction.
• ● Gavel Animation: A gavel animation is automatically displayed when the auction concludes, aligning the experience with the BidBuy App used by online bidders.
• ● Celebration Effects: New visual effects including confetti and applause animations are triggered at the conclusion of bidding to highlight successful auction outcomes.
• ● Bidder Presence Visibility: Logged-in agency users can now view the number of bidders currently online during a Timed Auction, providing greater visibility into live bidder engagement and participation levels.

Daily Email Update

A new daily auction activity email has been introduced to keep agents informed about upcoming auction activity and bidder engagement.

• ● Scheduled Delivery: Daily emails will be automatically distributed at 6:00 AM AEST.
• ● Assigned Contacts: Emails are sent to all assigned agent contacts based on system configuration settings.
• ● Status-Aware Notifications: Emails will not be generated for auctions that are not currently in a bidding status, ensuring communications remain relevant and meaningful.

Other Updates

• ● Terminology Update – "Property" to "Lot": There are numerous references to the words Property and Properties throughout the platform. Over the coming six months, selected references will be updated to Lot and Lots to create greater consistency across the Auctions Live ecosystem. These terminology updates will not affect functionality or public-facing user experiences.
• ● Date Format Standardisation: To improve global readability and reduce ambiguity, date formats across the platform will progressively transition from DD/MM/YYYY (e.g. 15/01/2025) to DD Mon YYYY (e.g. 15 Jan 2025). This enhancement accommodates varying international date conventions and improves readability for users across different regions.
• ● No Action Required: The date format update will be applied automatically across the platform over the coming months and does not require any configuration changes or user action.
